The department of Otolaryangology in Regency Hospital provides a comprehensive ENT care to patients of Kanpur and surrounding areas.
The department is equipped with all types of diagnostic facilities including puretone audiometry, Brain stem evoked response audiometry and electro nystagmography. It is also equipped for diagnostic nasal and laryngeal endoscopies.
The department performs all types of routine ENT surgeries including micro ear surgery. The maximum focus is on surgery for a discharging ear which includes myringoplasty and mastoidectomy. Other complex ear surgeries commonly being done are ossicular replacement surgery, stapedectomy and facial nerve decompression.
Endoscopic sinus surgery for recurrent sinusitis is being routinely done in the hospital. This is a latest technique for treating sinusitis.
Other commonly done surgeries include cosmetic rhinoplasty, surgery for improvement in voice ( phonosurgery), and Head & Neck surgery.
The department is fully equipped for undertaking any sort of ENT problem both in terms of equipment and necessary skills.

1. Myringoplasty : Closure of perforation of ear drum.
2. Mastoidectomy : Disease clearance from middle ear.
3. Ossiculoplasty : Reconstruction of bones of middle ear for hearing improvement.
4. Stapedectomy : Replacement of bone in the middle ear with a Teflon piston to improve hearing.
5. Facial Nerve Decompression : To open and reconstruct facial nerve in case of any injury to facial nerves..
6. Endoscopic sinus surgery : For recurrent and chronic sinusitis..
7. Septoplasty : For correction of any deviated septum..
8. Rhinoplasty : For improvement in the shape of nose..
9. Micro laryngeal surgery : For removal of disease on the vocal cords to improve speech..
10. Thyroplasty : For vocal cord medalization in case of nerve paralysis..
