Under the supervision of the endocrinologists of the hospital, this department is engaged in the treatment of patients of Diabetes and those of Thyroid gland, infertility, menopause and problems of extra growth of hair in females. Diabetes is very critical and by handling Diabetes appropriately, it is possible to save the patients from a lot of complications. At Regency Hospital, a coordinated approach to each and every patient having Diabetic related problems, viz. Diabetes and Kidney, Diabetes and Eyes, Diabetes and Impotence, etc.
The department of Endocrinology provides state of the art care for patients with complex hormonal disorders including diabetes (Type 2, Type 1 and gestational diabetes, thyroid abnormalities ( hypo and hyperthyroidism), infertility, growth disorders, pubertal disorders (early and late puberty), menopause and problems of extra growth of hair in females, bone disorders (bony deformity, weak bones), calcium disorders(low and high calcium levels), gynecomastia (breast enlargement in boys),genital ambiguity and polyuria(increased urination). Diabetes is very critical and by handling Diabetes appropriately, it is possible to save the patients from a lot of complications.
